Principals at Wahackme Group have been at the forefront of the evolution of the alternative energy market which effectively began in the 1980's. This was triggered by the confluence of the deregulation of the power business, tax law changes and the spike in energy prices during the late 1970's and early 1980's.

Mr. Martin was one of the early pioneers of this industry when he was at DLJ. At the time, the firm had an excellent project finance team that provided funding to many of these energy projects typically sponsored by developers. As those developer groups morphed into companies, Mr. Martin became the leading corporate finance expert on Wall Street to this industry completing a majority of the corporate finance transactions for this sector. As evidence of his belief in the industry, Mr. Martin resigned from DLJ to pursue the buy-out of Hadson Power Systems with a former alternative energy investment banking client. This buyout was a $220 million purchase of 12 power plants either in existence or under development.

This tradition continues today as Wahackme Group follows the latest developments in the alternative energy field.
